Saber & Kale

Saber and Kale is a Strategy RPG that combines tactical combat mechanics inspired by Super Mario RPG with immersive exploration. Set on the planet Nexus, the game follows the adventures of Saber, a cybernetically-enhanced soldier, and Kale, a Nexus native with mystical powers, as they collaborate to thwart an oppressive force known as The Dominion.

This game is still currently in development but it is being updated. Feedback, bug reports and recorded gameplay are always appreciated!

Narrative

Nexus, a world rich in both technology and ancient magic, faces the threat of The Dominion, which seeks to exploit the planet's mystical energies. Saber and Kael, each initially on their own paths, cross destinies under challenging circumstances. Their combined skills in technology and magic make them uniquely capable of understanding and tackling the looming threat.

Environment

The game is set in an expansive world with varied environments such as ancient mystic ruins, sprawling industrial complexes, and volatile energy fields, all interconnected through an ancient network of ethereal energy.

Gameplay

Combat: Engage in tactical turn-based combat, utilizing a dual skill tree system that enhances Saber's weaponry skills and Kael's magical abilities.

Puzzle Solving:  Solve intricate puzzles that require a combination of Saber's tech gadgets and Kael's elemental magic.

Character Progression: Enhance abilities through a dual skill tree, which includes specific paths for weapon mastery and magic enhancements.
